  • BioFisa training: sponsored by SANBio/BioFISA II, a tailored training programme focused on the commercialisation of innovations and targeted at those in the biosciences space in the SADC region

 

  • Strengthening of Research Management (SToRM):a project funded by ERASMUS PLUS (European Union) to promote research management that will include exchange programmes and other professional development initiatives.

 

  • Science Granting Council Initiative in Sub-Saharan Africa (SGCI): project to support and strengthen the ability of Science Granting Councils to manage research, funded in partnership with Department for International Development and International Development Research Centre in the United Kingdom, and South Africa‚Äôs Department of Science and Technology and the National Research Foundation.

 

  • Partnership programme with the Department of Science and Technology: is focused on strengthening the research and innovation ecosystem in South Africa through a number of professional development and capacity building activities.

 

  • Innovation Bridge (IB): funded by the South African Department of Science and Technology, this initiative is aimed at providing pre-and post- IB event support through workshops and grants to support the acceleration of technologies emanating out of public research institutions being commercialised.

 

  • Building Research Capacity for sustainable water and food security in drylands of sub-Saharan Africa (BRECcIA): aim of the project is to strengthen research capacity capabilities in three sub-Saharan countries (Ghana, Kenya and Malawi) to carry out impactful research that leads to positive policy/practice change for sustainable water and food security. Funded under the Global Challenges Research Fund (GCRF) UK.
