The effective management of research grants and contracts has been identified as a critical competency for professionals operating in the research management field. Ensuring that there is compliance with all aspects of the project from award to close out will ensure your success as a research management professional. Learning to manage the process and the teams who will be delivering on the project require institutions to work to develop teams who have the capability to work collaboratively to achieve the desired research goals. The course will look at the differences between different funding contracts, and introduce the requirements for successful administrative management of research funding.

Course duration: Eight weeks including induction and assessments
Course format: Online self-study supplemented by facilitated online sessions and course assessments.
Professionalisation: This online course provides 20 CE training points with the International Professional Recognition Council (IPRC). CE training points allocated (aligned with the Professional Competency Framework (PCF) may be used towards professional recognition through the IPRC with successful completion of all six courses culminating in the issuance of a Certificate of Proficiency from the IPRC.
