The results of South Africa’s National Survey of Intellectual Property (IP) and Technology Transfer (TT) at Publicly Funded Research Institutions was launched on 12 April 2017, at the Innovation Hub, by the Minister of Science and Technology, Naledi Pandor.
The inaugural IP & TT baseline survey report, was produced by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), in partnership with SARIMA, the National Intellectual Property Management Office (NIPMO) and the Centre for Science, Technology and Innovation Indicators (CeSTII) at the Human Sciences Research Council (HSRC). The survey, which covered the period 2008 to 2014, was undertaken to establish a number of baseline indicators that are required to track overall activity in Intellectual Property management and Technology Transfer.
